Wizard of Oz

Hmmmm......very interesting. By that I mean, Dorothy did not have the same dress on, or the same hairstyle, the Wicked Witch of the West was a 6'8" drag queen; don't mean to be cruel, but it was more comical than anything. I'm sure he was trying his best. My four year old I think enjoyed it somewhat, but was disturbed by the fact that so many changes were made. I am a teacher so I just used it as a "compare/contrast" lesson; what things were different from the movie and the play? She understood that. It was very modernized; that includes the music. She like the jazzed up version though I think. Also, very disappointing that Toto was a person rather than a real dog. :( All in all I think it was just ok. Seemed also like the theatre was very "low budget"; which is sort of sad, being in Chicago and everything. I guess I just expected a little bit more.
